Wow, I can’t believe it’s time to open up submissions for the 2026 anthology from MCC Zines already.
To celebrate the fifth edition, I’ve decided to go open theme this year. Anything and everything that meets the other guidelines for the zine is welcome!
This zine’s final set of deliverables will include a 6.625”x 10.25” inch perfect-bound book, upgraded to hardcover if stretch goals are met.
Page artists are expected to create a single-page illustration or one spread (an image that spans two pages).
Accepted comic creators will have up to 10 pages for their comic, including a cover image/page.
Accepted writers are expected to write up to 3 poems, with a maximum of 2000 words, or a story/essay up to 3000 words.

This year’s MCC Zines Anthology, ‘Between Stars & Shadows,’ is Open Themed. Our zines lean toward sci-fi and fantasy, but we’re not rigid about genre.
Submissions should be kept within the zine’s PG-13 rating. LGBTQIA+ content is welcome.
