Hello friends!
Whew. How is tomorrow May? No, seriously, wasn’t it just February? Lol.
This have been busy on all fronts here, and Summer is booking up fast. My last MFA semester is just on the other side of June, and I have hunkered down into my thesis project.
On the art front, I fell behind a little with the last MCC Zines and getting the layout done, but we’re back on track and it’s off to print! I also participated in the Chuck Jones Red Dot again this year, and am working to finish my comic adaptation of my flash fiction fairytale, The Ratree Witch. The comic was supposed to be in the zine, but since I’ve been so slow making it, I’ll be releasing it digitally with rewards for backers, and then posting it to gumroad sometime this Summer. (is the plan)
Oh! And there was Pintopia! I’m so stoked all of stretch goals were met and the rest of my kawaii lunar zodiac pin set I started during the pandemic was funded! The pins and goodies are on their way and I can’t wait!
On the writing front, obviously the MFA is keeping me busy with developing a novel, but I have been posting some of my work to Substack, as I have some stories form Writing Battle and other contests sitting on my drives. I’ve also set up a writing club tier on Patreon, so there’s two options if you’d like to get my writing straight to your inbox! 🙂
