Year in Review, and a Look into 2026
Another year, adiós 2025!
This has been a busy year for Maegan Cook Creates and MCC Zines.
Thanks to everyone who’s supported this continuing journey — I’ve published another zine anthology with one on the way in the beginning of next year, successfully campaigned a second kawaii skeleton wood pin set, and had two great cons.
Now, here’s the big announcements for 2026:
First, What’s coming for Patreon: Cozy Cat Art & Stickers 🐾☕
I’m so excited to share a little peek at what I’m planning for my Patreon next year! Starting in January 2026, I’ll be launching a brand-new annual art theme featuring a pair of adorable cats named Sakura and Matcha.
The overall vibe for the year will be tea/café, and cozy moments—think warm drinks, soft blankets, and calm little scenes you’d want to curl up with. Each month, I’ll be creating a new illustration of Sakura and Matcha, and at the end of the year all of the artwork will be compiled into a 2027 calendar for patrons.

On top of that, I’ll be sending out monthly sticker rewards! These will be mochi-style kawaii cat stickers, featuring Sakura and Matcha in their monthly cozy café adventures. January’s sticker will kick things off, so it’s the perfect time to join if you’d like to receive the first one.

If you enjoy cute cats, cozy art, and collectible goodies, I’d love to have you join me on Patreon and be part of this year-long project. Your support helps me create more art, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
I hope to see you on Patreon! 💕
MCC Zines, YEAR FIVE!
I’m a little shell-shocked over how well the last zine campaign did. I don’t know if the subject resonated with others as much as the team, or if being part of Printopia 2025 was a large part of why we hit all the stretch goals– but I am just over the moon, and I can’t wait to hold this one and all the goodies in my hands.
That being said, I hope to top it with the fifth edition. ✨ I’ll open the theme to vote as always, but I might shake up things a little in the way the zine is structured. I don’t know, the brainstorming phase is always fun, but I have layout to finish and getting Golden Apples & Poisoned Chalices to print before I can scheme for book number five! 😀
Thank you all for your amazing support on this crazy wild ride! 💕
Warmest wishes through the rest of the year; see you in 2026!
