Hello friends!
Just popping my head up from the to-do doom pile to catch up. I hope 2026 is being gentle to everyone. I know there’s a lot going on in the world.
So, what’s new for me? School is chugging along in my MFA third semester. I have chosen a story near and dear to my heart for my thesis project, and as much as I would love to be using more of the source material, it’s just too teen fanfic coded (iykyk), so I’m kind of paraphrasing a 20-something year old story to develop it into a polished work ready for publishing. (send cookies for support guys, this is rough. teen Maegan had a great ideas, but good gravy on the writing quality.) I may share some of the cringe, I don’t know yet. Lol.
Convention season is coming up, and I am planning on keeping it local again this year. .I may try for a couple of East coast city shows after school is over, but we’ll see. The Etsy shop just got an update, and I plan to update it later in the year with Backerkit leftovers. I need to sit down with my inventory and really go through everything and organize, but I know I have skeletastic and pokemon ghost cafe pins and things leftover, and I anticipate having Kawaii Zodiac pins too.
In the mean time, I just started up a facebook page for my Patreon sticker club, and I got a really cool idea for another subscription plan, so I’ll work on developing that over the next few months.
I also have a piece in the Chuck Jone’s Red Dot Auction this year and am working to finish up my comic for the last zine for MCC Zines to send it to print so I can start working on the FIFTH anthology, applications will probable open up next month or May.
