I was lucky to participate in the Other Worldly Arts Collective June 14th Unicorn Art Show!
I pushed myself to use Procreate painterly brushes on a large canvas (which means I could only use five layers—FIVE LAYERS!) to make this piece a reality. I’m not going to lie; there may be seven copies of this file as I pushed through the process. XD
I altered my original vision of keeping it in blue hues for a more realistic color rendering.
I decided to go more classical with my interpretation of the unicorn as a creature, borrowing more from a small cloven hoof animal than something resembling a horse. This unicorn is also just a babe, so I gave it a baby beard, and it may grow into its ears… ^^;
8″x10″ Metallic art prints of this piece are now available in the shop. They turned out very nice, it’s hard to capture the shine in photos, but the colors are very vibrant. ❤
